Still alive – quick hello

Just wanted to let you know that I’m still alive and well. The last weeks have been crazy and disappointing in many ways. Let’s cut things short, there is no estate anymore to build our dream house on and there happened some things that just feel very unfair and gave me lots of stuff to chew on what might get to the mind of some people just fooling us off.
Well, lesson learned the hard and disappointing way, search goes on…put a deep sigh here.…

That’s just as much as I’d like to put it here as I like to think of this place as my happy cosy cottage. That was and somewhat is the reason I wasn’t posting and I somehow didn’t felt like it now. Hope I’ll be back soon with fresh energy and optimism.

1st Blogging Anniversary

I can’t believe that it’s been a full year of blogging for me already. Time flies when you have fun!
I learned so much about blogging and the internet in general, tried and tested lots of things and was happy like a small girl when tools I implemented worked and showed up on my page. It’s the small things that make live wonderful. Sometimes you have to push through but it’s worth the fun!
Close to two years we were searching for our perfect family home and the market seems to be as bad for us as it just can be. So a big decision was made within the last weeks. We found ‘our piece of ground’ to get our very own cottage build. There is much work lying in front of us and lots of new things to learn and deal with, but we are happy that we processed this decision!! There will be lots of more input on this topic, but I felt that today is a special day to announce this to you.
I am thankful for everyone I met and got in touch during my year. There is connection possible via the internet that I never wished to dream about before starting this!
So let me thank everyone for your sweet comments during my first year of blogging – 90 posts, 169 comments and I’m just burning to get started with digging deeper in our new project which was the idea for starting this blog anyway!
Have a great week and let’s hope for spring to arrive soon!

Spring shopping and a cosy blogger meet up in Hannover

Saturday we packed our bags and headed out for a day of fun in Hannover. As I love to shop at smaller independent shops we choose to go to Hannover-List and strolled around the pedestrian area.

Let me show you my little haul. It was a very grey and rainy day so it looks like I was in spring mood already to wipe away the bad weather. At least that’s what the colors show.

Hannover spring haul

We had a yummy dinner at Gustimo. It’s a lovely pasta bar with beautiful ambiance. You can choose you style of pasta ( we choose whole wheat pasta!) and your sauce and different ingredients! So good, there is something for every pasta lover! Have a look at my Arugula Pesto Pasta on my Instagram account…or on the right side bar!

After shopping and our delish dinner the hubs delivered me at the meeting point for our blogger meet up at Atrium Restaurant. I was a bit late and the girls were already in action introducing themselves but it was a whole lot of fun meeting everyone. A creative atmosphere and great personalities and blogs to get to know. We agreed on meeting again at the end of summer and I’m already looking forward to it.

Thanks again to our lovely host Anette from Lebenslustiger Blog for organizing this meet up!

What did YOU do at the weekend? Fun stuff? Lazy stuff? Let me know.

2013 what I want to do and Happy NEW YEAR!

A new year, new goals!
Resolutions are the kind of things you have forgotten about until halfway trough January. Honestly, no matter how we name it, there is a bit more pressure to it, when I tell you about my personal goals.
Hope it works for me, I keep you updated. :)
  • finding our family home…FINALLY. Hope this will happen soon in 2013!
  • getting fit in 2013 and establishing a workout routine for two evenings a week
  • do more ‘real’ dates with my hubs, having more special time together as it is so precious
  • learn new things like how to photoshop
  • meet my lovely friends more often, to spend some quality time with them
  • try to look more polished and put together in my everyday life getting further with finding my personal style
  • be more crafty as it is something I really enjoy but don’t have the proper space in our current apartment
  • do more experiments with new recipes in the kitchen, my goal is to try a new cakes or sweets firstly limited for January weekends
  • be more organized in everything I do and have something like a schedule
  • invest more time in decorating our current place to make us feel more home

So as the year is over in a few hours and we’re running now to attend a cosy New Years Eve party at a friends house. Everything left to say is that I wish a healthy, happy and lucky 2013 for all of you!
I feel great to know you around, even if I’m not all the time, but I try my best to improve in 2013! Without you it would just me doing some journaling ( which would be okay, but having you around is way more fun!!).
So cheers to 2013!!

I’m back again…

… after the Holidays hoping you spend great quality time with your family and friends. We spend x-mas at my in laws in Dresden. Internet access was very rare due to no WLAN so I couldn’t send my warm Christmas wishes earlier.

We spend lots of time strolling trough Dresden and it’s lovely Christmas Market “The Striezelmarkt” and the lovely little huts around the famous “Frauenkirche”. If you follow me on Instagram (I’m @Minny777) you have already seen those impression but I like to share them with you here, too. I also included a little Instagram live gallery on the right.

Under this Christmas Pyramid you got the BEST mulled wine in so many different flavours you could ever imagine. It’s located next to the Frauenkirche facing the Münzgasse for those who might try it next year! My recommendation is Blueberry Mulled wine and Feuerzangenbowle (served aflame, really exciting!)

Got some really delicious hot cocoa at Dulce in Dresden Altstadt. Those Pralines looked all so tasty that I couldn’t decide which ones to take.

The beautiful sparkly decoration at the building housing L´Occitane. So many great things over there. I love their hand cream, soft skin, great smell!Luxurious decorations at Altmarkt Galerie Dresden ( biggest shopping mall in town)

Dresden Centrumsgalerie (small shopping mall)

Delicious Petit Four on Christmas Eve before breakfast while shopping for some rolls and minced meat. Yum!! Couldn’t resist. Was the first one I ever tried and I will defiantly do it again!

Finally, our tree. It was a bit crooked and the needles were really itchy…ouch! If I wouldn’t have been the one decorating it, I wouldn’t have bothered but…ouch ouch!! Once I was done, it looked really great. Apparently my skills with my mobile´s camera aren’t pretty good, but I think you will forgive me!

So we’re heading straight ahead New Year right in focus. Holiday Season is nearly over, it’s just New Years Eve for celebrating left, so for sure that’s what we’ll do! Wishing a healthy and successful 2013 to all of you!

Liebster Blog Award

I’m totally overwhelmed. Turns out I’m nominated by even three lovely ladies for Liebster Blog Award. May from All Things Pretty, Miranti from Pen & Peplum and Corinne from Fresh paintings by Corinne Korda considered my small blog for this award given from bloggers to bloggers with less than 200 followers.
It’s a great way to take a small step further into the big world of blogging, gaining readers and getting some attention. I really appreciate everyone reading my blog!
So of course there are some tasks you have to accomplish as a nominee for this award. First of all you have to post 11 random facts about you.
