High Five For Friday!

It´s time, it´s time! Wow, it´s friday again! How the week has flewn by in a small blink of an eye! I was really busy the past week running errands and had a lot of stuff on my mind at work so it´s great that friday is finally here! Timne to take a break!

I just love to take a second to wave to my newest follower Bonnie! Thanks sweetheart for your kind words! I really appreciate it and you totally made my day! Taking the time at the weekend to have a proper look over at your blog.

1. Had a relaxing evening doing a bubble bath! So good to take a break after a long day! I have this great bath pralines with shea butter which are absolutely amazing for dry skin like mine. Its important to arrange small time slots that are just for you!

2. Amazing Thursday evening watching Vampire Diaries on SIXX. Just loving it....ahmm....them! For my taste the boys may be a little bit more beefy...there are a lot of muscles but I really like wider shoulders and something to grab. But hey, they are dead, aren´t they?

3. There is a new little feature on my blog. I am going to adapt a picture and title of the book I am currently reading. Perhaps you get inspired by the suggestion.
Right now I am reading in German but I do read a lot of novels in english, too. Especially the girly ones. I think some passages don´t sound that cheesy in English. That´s what I like better about it and another reason for switching the language of my blog to English a few weeks ago.

4. The birthday party on Wednesday was real fun! I had more wine and Ramazotti as I planned on so I woke up on Thursday, well, with the wine flu. Really hope it´s not epedemic ;o).

5. At last and perhaps the utmost important thing of our week is the appointment at the building company Tönjes & Meichsner that we have today. We are excited to get to know the possibilties we might have when buildung a whole new house instead of buying an already used house.

This is the house of San-ta Claus

Check out what Lauren and the other girls experienced this week and give them a good high five!

Belated, oh how PINtresting Wednesday!

Hey guys, yesterday was a busy day with work and a birthday party the hubs and I were attending, so I´m posting my favorite pins of this week a day late.

I love the new hairtutorial that Kate from The Small Things Blog posted on Monday! Have tried this already but me hair wasn´t cooperative that morning before running to get to work on time.

I´m getting into a real good summer feeling when I look at this outfit! I have a similar skirt to wear up to your waistline and it looks so put together and smooth with a simple white or black t-shirt. Personally I´m no huge fan of jeans jackets as I consider them a bit to much 90´s style for my taste, but if it fits with you, go for it!

I actually love everything that is wrapped with bacon. Not only potatoes, but plumes, chicken (yeah Saltimbocca - jump in my mouth) dates, sausages...whatever you can think of!

Sometimes you wish you have a chance to wish for something while blowing off the pieces of a dandelion!

I have to get to the crafts market and buy some beads and some strings. Wish I had more time for DIYing.

Dressing up to attend a wedding

Rolf and I are invited to a summer wedding in early September in Kühlungsborn, Germany.
I am really excited about it as it is a combination of celebration and weekend trip to the seaside. I have never been there before and happy to explore the pleasures of the Balic Sea.

I hope there will be lots of sunny weather to relax, do some walks, perhaps shop a little bit and have a good time. Perhaps I have to reactivate my connection to Petrus to let the sun shine as I am so happy that our dear friends are tying the knot and they should have a perfect day. They are such a cute couple.

One of the hardest task for attending a chic wedding ( it takes place in the four seasons - wow) is to find the right dress for the celebration. Right now I am really struggeling to find the right pick. A lot of dresses that I found on the internet are way to short and far away from what you would consider right for an formal event.

I´d like to show you some dresses I picked out but about which I am not sure yet which one to actually wear.

You get an idea now of what I consider appropriate for the party. A vibrant, delicate dress with an a-shaped skirt that "flys" as you dance. A pastel candy colour is what I would like to go for most. It´s light and cheery. Black would be a classic pick, too and slims your shape but this time I will dare to wear more colour!

Will keep you updated about my style progess for this occaision.

High Five For Friday!

Wishing everyone a very nice friday! The working week is done and the weekend is up to come! Yay!

My Glossybox arrived this week. Will do a post about it soon. Let´s say this time I´m not as pleased with it as I was with the last box.

This friday afternoon I´m out and about to do a little summer celebration with my dear collegues from work. There is going to be a tent, suckling pig and lots of beer. Girls, I´m looking forward to that. It´s always that much fun!

This is not our venue, but I imangine it like something lie that... ;o)

This week I spend a fair amount of time flipping trough this great cookbook by Nigella Lawson. She is the real godess when it comes to cakes, cupcakes, cookies and all other kinds of desserts and sweets.
Hope I will find some time soon to test some of the recepies.

My order from Land´s End arrived yesterday and I got these super comfy sailing shoes. They have a great footrest and are really soft. Actually I thought of Land´s End as more like a ladies shooping page or for "real grown up" women as you might know what I mean. So I was glad about my pick and they are so classy.

And at last for this friday I love th share a High Five for the great weather we had this week, especially on Wednesday, when I had a day of and the chance to just relax a bit outside.

Oh, How Pinteresting !

Yay, its Wednesday already and the weekend isn´t that far and yet to come! Two more working days...

To celebrate the middle of the week I´m going to show you the best pins I discovered on Pinterest recently.

As it seems that summer season is now finally takeing over in Germany I´d love to show you some fashion styles for good weather and other features.

I love to wear jeans and tanks, so for hot weather I really like to roll up the jeans and feel more breezy around the feet. Ray Ban is of course always a good pick when it comes to sunglases and the Tory Burch sandales are simply adorable!

This is a great way to keep your hair out of your face when it´s warm outside! I haven´t tried it with a sock yet but bought a doughtnut shape base (that probarbly old women use for their knots too) and it worked amazing. Sadley I went to the hairdresser 2 weeks ago and my hair is now a bit short to roll it up like this. Perhaps the sock will do ;o) You never know.

Coral and many other shades of pastel colours are my absolute favorites this spring/summer 2012. I´m not that girl who likes to wear very bright colours and stick out of the crowd too much, just occasionally if you know what I mean.
I don´t like hotpants that much but with my legs and thighs getting more and more into shape ( thanks to my dear girl Jillian Michaels and her 30 day shread)

As it´s the 4th of July today here´s a pin for all the girls out there celebrating this day. This cake would be a great pick as a birthday cake or sunday afternoon cake, too.

For light meals a salad is the right thing to go for. This peach and spinach salad thats so great. I made it last week and added some mozarella and skipped the nuts ( nut a great nuts person actually). That tast of the peach´s seetness and the freshness of the spinach are great together. With some balsamic vinegar...hmmm yummy.

As last week I´m linking up with Michelle from the vintage apple blog. Make sure you check out what the girls are pinning over there and have a great Wednesday! :o)
